You can find an excellent recipe for the whole family here. The Ticino polenta recipe tastes heavenly.
Ingredients for four servings
- 2 Tbsp Bouillon (powder)
- 40 G butter
- 2 Msp nutmeg
- 70 G Parmesan
- 1 prize pepper
- 270 G Polenta (corn semolina)
- 1 prize salt
- 1 l water
For the polenta, put the water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Next, preheat the oven to 160 degrees (top/bottom heat).
Add the bouillon powder to the boiled water and add the polenta (= corn grits) to the water while stirring (preferably with a whisk) – so that no lumps form.
Let the mixture simmer briefly over medium heat, frequently stirring until the corn grits have set a little.
Now stir in the butter and parmesan and season well with salt and nutmeg.
Then cover the pan and put the polenta in the oven for around 30 minutes. Make sure that the pot is fireproof. It is also possible to pour the polenta into an oven dish.
After the baking process, stir the polenta well again, season to taste again and sprinkle with parmesan.
